The smart bracelet is battery powered, has a built-in GPS positioning system and mobile phone technology, and automatically sends current information to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Humanitarian aiders need to help people in poor and disaster-stricken areas, but often put themselves at risk. A high-tech bracelet designed to protect humanitarian aid workers in war and conflict zones from kidnapping was unveiled at a gathering held by a humanitarian organisation earlier this month, according to British media reports — it could allow people at risk to quickly Send out a distress message to avoid personal attacks or kidnappings.

The first five smart bracelets to be unveiled this time were all developed by humanitarian organizations and called "Project Natalia" - in honor of a man named Natalia Estmirova Russian humanitarian workers.

　　Built-in GPS system

These smart bracelets are battery powered, with built-in GPS positioning system and mobile phone technology, and can be used as a daily alarm clock in daily use. However, once the automatic alarm component is manually triggered, it will send the user's current location and pre-programmed distress information to the set recipients, such as the headquarters of humanitarian organizations and nearby aid workers, to provide them with early warning.

　　Will automatically send Weibo

In addition, the bracelet will automatically send current information to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter to attract attention. If an attacker forcibly removes the wearer's smart bracelet, an alarm will be triggered and a distress alert with GPS coordinates will be sent. In humanitarian organizations, these smart bracelets could help find or release kidnapped or imprisoned people more quickly, as well as act as a deterrent to attackers. The first five smart bracelets have been distributed to humanitarian aid workers, and the organization is raising funds to make more smart bracelets, with plans to distribute 55 more smart bracelets by the end of next year.
