  Cell-ID-based positioning technology: This technology is also known as Cell Of Origin positioning technology. Each cell has its own specific cell identification number (Cell-ID). When entering a cell, the mobile terminal needs to register in the current cell, and the system data will have the corresponding cell ID. The system determines the location of the user of the mobile terminal according to the collected identification number of the cell where the mobile terminal is located. This positioning technology has high precision and is easy to implement in areas with dense cells, and does not require major changes to existing networks and mobile phones, and is widely used.

  Time of Arrival TOA (Time Of Arrival) positioning technology: The mobile terminal transmits measurement signals to more than 3 base stations, measures the time it takes to arrive (must ensure time synchronization), and applies a specific algorithm to calculate the positioning of the mobile terminal. In this algorithm, the mobile terminal is located on a circle with the base station as the center and the radio wave transmission distance between the mobile terminal and the base station as the radius, and the intersection of the three circles is the location of the mobile terminal.

  TDOA (TimeDifference0fArrival) positioning technology: The mobile terminal monitors the base station and measures the time difference between the signal arriving at the two base stations. Every two base stations get a measurement value to form a hyperbolic positioning area. In this way, three base stations get two The exact position of the mobile terminal can be obtained by solving the hyperbola positioning area and solving their intersection points and applying additional conditions. Because the time difference is measured instead of absolute time, it is not necessary to meet the requirements of time synchronization, so TDOA has attracted much attention.

  Enhanced observation time difference E-OTD (Enhanced-Observed TimeDifference) positioning technology: place several position receivers or reference points in the wireless network as the position measurement unit LMU, and the reference points have an accurate timing source. When the mobile phone and the LMU receive more than 3 base station signals, the time difference between the arrival of each base station signal will be calculated to estimate the location of the mobile phone. This positioning technology has high positioning accuracy, but the hardware implementation is also complicated.

  The angle reaches AOA (Arrival of Angle) positioning technology: The primary condition of this positioning technology is that the base station needs to be equipped with an array smart antenna. The angle between the base station and the mobile terminal sending the signal is measured through this antenna, and the connection between the two is further determined, so that the mobile terminal and the two base stations can obtain two connection lines, and the intersection point is the mobile terminal to be tested. s position. The disadvantage of this positioning technology is that the required smart antennas have high requirements and there are positioning blind spots.
