On the new generation of GPSIII satellites, this situation has been completely improved - the civil frequency band and the military frequency band have been separated, and the special L1C civil code signal frequency band has been added.

　　Other cool things about GPSIII are that the United States has reached an agreement with the European Union on L1C civil code signal frequency band, so that new generation GPS chips can receive signals from different global positioning systems, such as the Galileo navigation system in Europe, the GLONASS navigation system in Russia, and even the Beidou navigation system in China.
