Bluetooth GPS technology supports point-to-point and point to multipoint connections. Several piconets can be connected together, and each piconet can be identified by frequency hopping sequence. All users of the same piconet are synchronized with the frequency hopping sequence. Its topology can be described as a "multi piconet" structure.

　　In a "multi piconet" structure, the full duplex data rate exceeds 6Mb/s in the case of 10 independent piconets with full load.

　　The voice channel adopts continuous variable slope delta modulation (CVSD) voice coding scheme, and never retransmits voice packets. CVSD coding is good at dealing with lost and damaged speech samples. Even if the bit error rate reaches 4%, CVSD coded speech is still audible.

　　Bluetooth air interface is based on 0dBm antenna level. The air interface follows the standards of FCC (Federal Communications Commission of the United States) for ISM band with 0dBm level. If the global level is above 100mW, the spread spectrum function can be used to add some supplementary services. The spectrum spreading function is realized by 79 frequency hopping frequency points with a starting frequency of 2.402, a ending frequency of 2.480 and an interval of 1MHz. Due to some local regulations, Japan, France and Spain have all reduced their bandwidth. The maximum frequency hopping rate is 1660 hops/second. The ideal connection range is 10 cm - 10 m, but the distance can be extended to 100 m by increasing the transmission level.

　　The baseband section describes the hardware -- the digital signal processing specification of the baseband link controller. The baseband link controller is responsible for handling baseband protocols and other low-level conventional protocols.
