　　The Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Communications issued the "Guangzhou Passenger Taxi Vehicle Technical Management Regulations", which stipulated that from August 1, Guangzhou taxis will be required to install on-board intelligent systems such as locators with video surveillance. More than 21,000 taxis in the pipeline will be installed with video surveillance and other in-vehicle systems. This provision is set up to urge drivers to operate in accordance with the law. However, whether taxis should install locators with video surveillance is still controversial. The main function of the locator with video surveillance installed in the taxi is actually to urge the driver to operate in accordance with the law.
