The most powerful and nearest effective satellites are used for calculation and positioning. Many military GPS have 5 channels, but only use 4 channels for positioning, and 1 channel quickly searches all visible satellites, and compares them with 4 effective satellites. One is replaced, so that the 4 strongest signal satellites are maintained. Therefore, it is not that the higher the channel, the better. Generally, 12 satellites on the ground are enough. What 16, 18, 20, 24... are all soft channels, which reflect the maximum number of visible satellites that can be searched, and have no practical significance.
