When the standard air pressure inside the rechargeable battery reaches a certain level, the aluminum shell of the rechargeable battery will crack and explode, causing a terrible production safety accident.

　　Therefore, the rooms where 18650 rechargeable batteries are inspected generally need to be protected layer by layer, and it is definitely forbidden to enter during the whole inspection process. This problem does not exist. Even under extreme conditions, because the packaging film has low compressive strength, it will crack if the working pressure of the gas is slightly higher, which is not easy to cause explosion. The worst case is ignition. Therefore, polymer lithium battery is better than 18650 rechargeable battery in terms of safety factor.

　　Generally, the volume of 18650 rechargeable battery can reach 2200mAh, so the calculated specific energy is about 500Wh/L. At present, the specific energy of polymer lithium battery can reach 600Wh/L.
