The application processor completes the GPS/Galileo function

　　A unique software-based GPS scheme that upgrades GPS/GalileoGa without hardware modifications. Similar to the Global Positioning System (GPS), Galileo is a European navigation system being developed by the European Space Agency. It is expected to be fully operational within a few years. The addition of the Galileo navigation system to the GPS satellite system will result in a significant performance improvement compared to a GPS-only system. FIG. 2 shows the block diagram comparing the traditional GPS scheme with the new software-based GPS scheme.
