Many people may wonder that the commercial application of the Beidou system was launched about 20 years late, and there are technical bottlenecks, but why do they dare to overtake at corners and compete with the first echelon of GPS?
Indeed, the Beidou system has its own strength to take the initiative in the GPS competition.
First, after the completion of the Beidou system, there will be 11 more satellites than the United States. In other words, the accuracy of Beidou's local survey will be about 10 meters higher than that of GPS, which is open to the civilian market, reaching the millimeter level. This provides a reason for chip, mobile phone and application manufacturers to access Beidou, because it may also provide them with a 'springboard' for leapfrog development;
Secondly, the Beidou system has the two-way short message function that the GPS system does not have. Users can send short message messages of 40-60 Chinese characters at a time, which plays an important role in both military and commercial fields;

Civil development of Beidou: In recent years, Beidou has gradually become popular for civilian use. For example, Beidou's short message communication has been widely used in seafarers and outdoor sports. "Beidou Haichat" is a successful example. At present, "Beidou Haichat" has become a Beidou satellite communication tool pursued by sailors and outdoor hikers. Beidou Haichat is competent for daily communication, emergency help, and even location function applications.
