1. GPS positioning
GPS is a well-known term and a positioning method developed by the United States. The positioning accuracy depends on the coverage density of nearby base stations. If there are many base stations, the positioning is accurate. If there are few base stations in mountainous areas, the positioning is not so accurate, and the positioning accuracy is generally between 50-2000 meters.
Advantages: Simple positioning and fast speed. Because it receives base station signals through a SIM card for positioning. In theory, as long as the signal difference between the three base stations is calculated, the location of the mobile phone can be determined. And unlike GPS positioning, it is not affected by weather, tall buildings, location, and so on.
Disadvantage: The error is too large. The position coordinate value obtained by calculating the difference in base station signals is clearly inferior to the positioning accuracy of GPS. There are few or even no base stations in suburban and rural areas. It can lead to inability to locate, which can be said to be unsuitable for outdoor use.
3. Beidou positioning
The independently developed satellites in our country, in layman's terms, are domestically produced GPS. The positioning principle is similar to GPS, which also uses Beidou satellites for positioning. Currently, there is no popularization in the civilian sector.
