GPS autonomous navigation

　　The role of the auto navigation system is to calculate the driving route by referring to the electronic map according to the current position of the vehicle provided by the GPS receiver, the vehicle destination entered by the user, and provide the information to the driver during driving. At present, autonomous navigation is widely used in the world. Its main feature is that each set of on-board navigation equipment has its own electronic map, and the positioning and navigation functions are all completed by on-board equipment. Its working process mainly includes the following steps:

　　(1) Enter data information. Before departure, the vehicle owner will input the destination into the navigation device, and directly click on the electronic map displayed by the system to select the location, or input the destination name into the system with some input method. According to the different input devices, there can be different methods for inputting place names, and almost all the operation functions can be realized by pressing keys or touching the screen. For convenience, people are also developing products of speech recognition technology.

　　(2) Display the electronic map. An important part of the vehicle navigation system is the electronic map stored in the optical disk or built-in memory (such as hard disk). The electronic map stores the geographic, road and traffic control information within a certain range, and stores the relevant longitude and latitude information corresponding to the location. The vehicle navigation host gets the longitude and latitude of the current point determined by calculation from the GPS receiver, and can determine the current location of the vehicle at any time by comparing it with the electronic map data. Generally, the car navigation system defaults the current position of the vehicle as the starting point. After the user enters the destination, the navigation system can automatically calculate the most appropriate recommended route according to the map information stored on the electronic map. In some systems, users can also specify the route points they want to pass on the way, or specify certain route selection rules (such as not allowing to pass through the expressway, following the principle of shortest route, etc.). The recommended route will be displayed in the map on the screen in a striking way, and the current position of the vehicle will be displayed on the screen at any time for reference. If the vehicle deviates from the recommended route during driving, the system will automatically delete the original route, recalculate the route based on the current point of the vehicle, and take the revised route as the new recommended route.
