The*price indicators of GPS module performance are mainly receiving
sensitivity, positioning time, position accuracy, power consumption, time
accuracy, etc. The module boot positioning time is very different in different
start -up modes. Generally speaking, cold start time refers to the situation
that does not save any data inside the module, including the stars, time, etc.,
which are generally nominal within 1 minute; warm start time refers to Star
calendar (generally no more than 2 hours), but the time deviation is very large,
which is generally nominal within 45 seconds; the hot start time refers to the
situation where the shutdown does not exceed 20 minutes and the RTC time error
is very small. Generally nominal within 10 seconds; re -capture time is like a
car drilled through a tunnel, and the satellite is captured when the tunnel is
out of the tunnel. Generally nominal within 4 seconds.
If the module has been placed for a long time after the positioning, or the
module is transported to a place hundreds of kilometers away after the
positioning, there is a star calendar inside the module, but this star calendar
is wrong or does not have reference significance. In these cases, the
positioning time may take a few minutes or more time. Therefore, when the GPS
module is exported, the data inside the module should be cleared, so that the
customer can quickly start positioning when the module gets the module.
Positioning accuracy can be inspected under static and dynamic conditions,
and the dynamic positioning effect is better than static positioning. The
positioning parameters nominal nomated by the GPS module refer to the case where
the satellite signal is excellent under a completely open sky. Therefore, it is
difficult to reach the nominal positioning time and positioning accuracy in
conventional testing. There are two common horizontal positioning accuracy
description methods: one is? M CEP, that is, a circular probability error, which
means that the probability of 50%of the measured points is located in a circle
with real coordinates as a circle and radius; The second is? M 2DRMS, that is,
the average root error of the two -fold average, which means that the
probability of about 95.5%of the measured points is located in a circle with
real coordinates as a round heart and a radius.
