What are the differences between GPS, GPRS, and Beidou satellite positioning

The GPS satellite positioning system determines its position through calculation by receiving satellite signals from the United States Global Positioning System (GPS), with a civilian accuracy of around 5 to 15 meters.

The positioning of GPRS, also known as base station positioning, is determined by the mobile company's base station (signal tower), which means that the approximate position is determined by the range of the communication module (usually a mobile phone) in which base stations are located, and its accuracy is usually calculated in kilometers.

The BeiDou satellite positioning system is similar to the GPS satellite positioning system, both mainly positioning through satellite signals. It uses the BeiDou positioning system developed in China, but it also has some functions that are different from GPS. For example, it can obtain higher positioning accuracy through ground stations and can use short messages similar to SMS.
